Yesterday,
I had an experience that first shocked me and then struck fear in me. I
saw a reel that featured a very popular and well-known female singer.
She was performing with her troop on stage, surrounded by her cast
members, and was giving one of her typically loud and energetic
performances. I won't mention her name, as it's pretty irrelevant
considering what is passing for musical talent and entertainment today.
What hit me hard was the caption that read: "So-and-so makes Jesus
laugh."
In the audience, very close to the stage, stood a handsome young man dressed as Jesus, wearing a fake halo around his head. As the singer performed, he turned to face the camera and was indeed laughing.
As so often happens on the internet, I got several more reels following that one in quick succession, showing the same scene taken by a different person. Yet, it was the same: this woman performing and the robed figure turning toward the camera and laughing. It was perfectly obvious that he was thoroughly enjoying the show.
At first, I was in shock. But that quickly changed to fear. Not fear for myself, but a fear for humanity, as I realized how much farther we are sinking every day into the nether regions of corruption and evil.
I prayed for the world last night, because so many "know not what they do." But for those of us who do, we should all be praying. This is a very sad and troubling time for humanity, and I ask God to show mercy to those who, like me, are afraid and would like for him to "calm the storm." 🙏🙏🙏
